Painting and the City
Painting and the City
As part of the "Creative Bridge" Summer Art Festival, we invite you to attend the lecture "Painting and the City" on June 22 at 3:00 PM, presented by art historian Hasmik Gevorgyan.
For a long time, painting existed exclusively within the confines of artists’ studios and exhibition halls, engaging with subjects that had little direct contact with reality: myths, legends and just religion.
However, from the mid-nineteenth century onward, profound changes began to unfold, gradually leading art beyond the walls of studios and galleries. Today, that journey has brought it to the open bridge beside which we will gather on June 22 to talk about the art of the present.
The lecture will be conducted in Russian.
